FAQs

Planning your Sydney Harbour or Whitsundays luxury yacht charter? Our FAQs cover everything from bespoke sailing itineraries and gourmet catering to booking details and onboard amenities. Whether you’re joining us for a day sail past the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, an overnight escape in secluded bays, or a multi-day Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef adventure to Whitehaven Beach, here’s everything you need to know for an unforgettable experience aboard our Oyster Yacht, Pegasus.

What’s included in a Sydney or Whitsundays private yacht charter?

Our all-inclusive charters feature two experienced professional crew, gourmet catering tailored to your preferences, premium beverages, agent and marine fees, fuel, and use of all onboard amenities. In the Whitsundays, this may also include snorkelling equipment, stand-up paddleboards, and curated island-hopping itineraries. The only additional costs are berthing fees outside of our home berths of Newport, Kirribilli, and Airlie Beach.

How many nights is the perfect amount of time for a Whitsundays yacht charter?

While the Whitsundays can be enjoyed in a single-day sail, many guests find 3 nights is the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. This itinerary allows time to visit Whitehaven Beach, snorkel vibrant coral reefs at Hook Island, explore hidden bays like Nara Inlet, and enjoy scenic sailing between islands without feeling rushed — all while returning each evening to the comfort of your luxury Oyster Yacht.

How many guests can the yacht accommodate? and are children welcome?

Pegasus, our luxury Oyster Yacht 625, comfortably accommodates up to 6 adults for overnight stays and up to 10 guests for day charters, depending on location and experience booked. Children are welcome onboard. We have a policy that ensures the safety of our lil ones onboard with us.

What’s the difference between a day charter and an overnight charter?

A day charter offers up to 8 hours on the water with gourmet meals, sailing, and water activities. Overnight charters allow you to anchor in scenic locations, enjoy sunset dining, and wake to a gourmet breakfast on deck.

What should we bring on board?

We provide all essentials including towels, sunscreen, and high-quality toiletries. Guests may wish to bring swimsuits, a hat, light layers, and any personal items. Soft bags are preferred for easy stowing. We also have a no outside shoe onboard policy, please bring appropriate deck shoes, socks or slippers if you would like the extra comfort.
